Welcome to Cromane
Cromane Community website
As this site is currently under development some pages may not yet reflect what we are aiming for but, with your input and assistance (simply click on the Email Us link to write and let us know), we can achieve our aim, which is a website not only for the people of the Cromane Community but for the many visitors to the area in the past, many of whom are repeat visitors and also those who are considering coming here in the not too distant future. Let us ensure that they realise fully the attractions of the place.
We have a News page where we hope you will provide news, stories, anecdotes and historical items of particular interest to the people of Cromane Community and which may also be of interest to our visitors from near and far.
Click on any word that is highlighted like Cromane or Cromane Community Centre or Castlemaine Harbour Co-operative Ltd. or Memories, Stories and Folklore from the Cromane area or use the links in the drop-down menus above.
Please feel free to explore the pages in this website as we hope you explore the delights of this lovely part of Kerry and of Ireland
Mid-Kerry is, as the name suggests, the middle of Kerry, and Cromane is ideally situated within this geographical haven of beauty and tranquility.
Cromane Peninsula, which is a low lying shingle spit at the western end of Castlemaine Harbour, is located approximately 8 km west north west of Killorglin.
This website has been co-funded under the EU LEADER+ Initiative for Rural Development, administered in this area by LEADER+ the South Kerry Development Partnership Limited.
